The Scottish Mountain Gear team have provided specialist contract repair services for leading outdoor equipment manufacturers, retailers and bona fide organisations since 1983.

If you represent one of the following types of organisations or businesses we’d like to hear from you to discuss how we can provide ongoing repair services to maintain your equipment at the highest standard —

  • Outdoor Equipment Manufacturers – we can provide warranty, non-warranty and repair/maintenance support for your products. This can include direct assessments as to what is a genuine warranty repair based on strict criteria you provide. We can handle direct enquiries on your behalf from retailers or from end-users.

    If your products are manufactured offshore and you discover a fault which requires a modification in the UK we’re likely to be able to help, give us a call to discuss how we can rescue the situation.

  • Outdoor Equipment Retailers – We can provide the very best backup to your own customer service operation ensuring that, in the first instance, leading advice is given on repairs to the majority of outdoor products. Secondly we can offer an efficient and effective repair service for your customers products rejuvenating them from accidental damage.

  • Outdoor Equipment Hirers – We can service and repair tents, rucsacs, sleeping bags and clothing you have available for hire offering a prompt turnaround to ensure your customers are not let down.
  • Caravan Agents – We offer specialist awning alteration and repair services. Our alteration service enables you to offer customers a cost effective way of re-using their existing awning if they are trading in their caravan for a more up to date model.
  • Schools, Outdoor Education Centres, Bona-fide Clubs & Associations, Scout & Guide Groups, Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Groups – if you have a gear pool the chances are some of it gets damaged each year. We can help keep it in order and with our embroidery and screen printing services can assist by adding your logo or group name for identification purposes. Through the winter months (October to February) we also offer discounts to charities and school groups for non-urgent repairs.
